  1. If you're into or would like to expand into sculling, I'd HIGHLY recommend Mark Wilson's All American Rowing Camp.

Wilson's got the coach to rower ratio at 1:5 or lower.  That makes for great personal attention.  They begin by breaking down the stroke and use video camera to help diagnose your rowing.  They adapt to the level of the rower and are very positive, never condescending or rude (Unfortunately, some coaches are.)

As an added benefit, Wilson's got Jim Dietz helping him out and I really clicked with Dietz.  Dietz is an old Olympic rower and he coaches women's Olympic teams.  His stories are the best.

I've been to the camp several times already.  They travel about the Eastern U.S. and do regular camps at my club in Columbus, Ohio (GCRA).

  2. Most of the quality camps are listed on Row2K:  http://www.row2k.com/camps/  Be sure to notice that you can toggle between youth camps and open camps.  For sculling, I can recommend Craftsbury and Black Bear, which may take teenagers, but are mostly college kids up to grandmas and grandpas.  Good luck!
