Not really into clubs,more bars with good music and something a bit out of the ordinary.

  1. Polly Magoo at 11 rue St-Jacques in the 5th arrondissement (The Latin Quarter) might be a good place for you to start.  You'll find a lot of ex-pats and students who speak English which will make connecting with people a bit easier.
