I need to find out the exact distance in miles and kilometers from New York City to Okinawa, Japan. For those that don't know, Okinawa is not a physical part of Japan - its a subtropical island to the south of mainland Japan - about an hour flight time from Tokyo. Okinawa is part of the collection of islands know as the Ryukyu islands. They are under political control of Japan. You can think of Okinawa as Japan's version of Hawaii.
