well i just wanted to check this out.

Usually they interview you before they give you the cat to make sure your the right person witch will give the cat the right home. but i remember reading that if the cat will end up being alone for a long time, you can't own 1. but what i wanted to know is who here would know how many hours that ownership limit is (a day) and just out of nowhere, is around 5 hours a day too much alone time? for 3 days a week only tough, but there is other people in the house that can come over and feed them, watch over etc

  1. Hi there... time allotted is truly at the discretion of the Bengal breeders. Some prefer to hear that you won't be leaving the Bengal(s) alone for more than 8 -10 hours (the length of  the typical work day), whereas others state no more than 16+ hours.

Bengal cats like any other cats will sleep most of the time while you are away from home (usually the typical length of the work day hours).  They are a very interactive cat therefore whenever humans are around this is when they are most energetic.  If for any reason you have to be away for more than 24 hours then it's ideal to have someone to come over and check on the cat(s) as well as clean the litter box and replenish food and water.

  2. well cats need alot of attention so if you stay out for hours your cats going to want alot of a attention. but if your cat is a lone cat then it will be fine alone. but if it's lonely, you could try to get another cat for it's copany. or you could just spend a lot of time with it. but remember cats also need some alone time to.

  3. Thats fine! three hours is not that long. specially if there other people in the house. make sure you do spend a lot of time with it when you are home!
