Anybody know this movie?

Question

Okay, this is driving me crazy, I can't think of the name of this movie, & I only vaguely remember the plot. I have no idea who was in it, but I think it was an ensemble cast. From what I can remember it was about a bunch of actors in a play, & things kept going wrong & they kept having to improv things & a lot of really funny stuff happened. I wish I could give a better description than that, but I haven't seen it in years. I think it may have been from the eighties, but I could be wrong. Anyway, if anyone has any idea what movie I'm talking about or even who might have been in it so I could figure it out myself that's be a great help.

Lloyd Fellowes is the director of a theatre company. He's desperately trying to get his production together, despite the best efforts of the cast, the crew, and Lady Luck. We follow the production from final rehearsals through opening night and onto the tour. As with any group of actors forced to work closely together for any great length of time, romances and arguments are bound to break out. Quite often, what's happening on stage is nothing compared to what's happening backstage.
