Aarin----you gotta check out the 2008 TREK colour catalog as soon as possible ( the TREK dealer will gladly give you copies of the catalog including the Bontrager with it!). The road bikes are just spectacular----the 'Madone' lineup will definitely impress you ----what're you waiting for bro?

That's a road bike with a carbon-fiber frame and Ultegra components.  It compares most closely to a Madone 5.1 in Trek's current lineup, though the frame in the Madone is more refined.  The 2300 carbon fiber frame has tubular sections with uniform diameters, while the Madone has a frame with more blended members with variable tube diameters and wall thickness.

The 2300 is still definitely a nice bike though.  Given a choice between the 2300 and a current-model aluminum bike, I'd still take the 2300..  If it's the right frame size for me.
