Anybody know what "CHEC" could indicate on a 2006 SV650S?

My suzuki SV650S sat for about a year without being turned on or anything. The engine wont turn over either even with being hooked up to a battery charger. "CHEC" is dispalyed in the gage panel readout below the spedo. Anyone know what it could be?

Since the bike wasn't used for a whole year, chances are that the battery has nearly, if not totally, failed.  Using a charger only provides enough amps to charge the battery, but not enough to turn the engine over.

Make sure the water level in the battery is where it should be and charge over night.  Then take off the charger.  If the engine still won't turn over, you need a new battery.

I don't know what the CHEC code means, but I'll bet it has something to do a low battery.
