    If not, see this other:

  2. African earthworms multiply quite fast .Common earthworms in India are less productive. These bring better aeration in soil and improve fertiity.Vermiculture is a good means as fertiliser.

  3. red and nightcrawlers......the more the better

  4. Try this site. very informative.

    http://www.sarep.ucdavis.edu/Worms/werne...

  5. Without the earthworm to help, soil would not be nearly as productive as it is. The worm breaks down a lot of plant material (and other detritus) that falls to the soil surface, as well as dead root material and buried plant parts. The resulting worm casting are well broken down and very high in nitrogen. They also, by movement threw the soil, create a system of macro pore tunnels that help to degas and re-gas the root zone of plants important because a plants roots need fresh air as much as the leaf does. They fill a niche in the environment so important that without them, and their kind, soil would be slow to cycle and nutrients slow to be available to plants that are part of the cycle.

  6. The worms actually ariate the ground so the soil isn't so tough for plants to come up and for tilling the ground.

  7. Eudrilus eugeniae (African ight crawler)

    Eisenia foetida (red worms)

    Eiseniella

    Lumbricus

    etc are useful.

  8. follow this link.    http://www.ca.uky.edu/entomology/entfact...

  9. Just type in earthworms for farming in your search menu and you will find a lot.
