Is there an agency where you could send your agency or what? Cause I would like to work in a cruise liner.

  1. Try getting onto different cruise line websites, they usually have links that you can check out and those links should give you the information you need to apply through agencies.

Good Luck, I used to work on cruise ships, and it's hard work, but you can have a lot of fun too. You'll meet some very interesting people and get to travel for free. It's a nice life, but be prepared to work long hours too.

  2. If you are looking for a shipboard position, your best bet is to do a search for cruise line hiring partner.

You can try the individual cruise line website for jobs, but it seems that most use outside companies to hire for shipboard positions and if you apply to the cruise line directly, your resume will probably never be looked at.  Unless you know who to get it to.

It seems most of the positions listed on the website are either for land-based positions or some higher level or management positions aboard ship.  But usually not entry-level, and that is where most people start out.

Also if you are ever on a cruise ask people how in the position you are intersted in, how they got their job.  That's what I dd.  And I start in a few weeks..

  3. What type of work do you want to do? Are you from the U.S? Cruise lines dont' like to hire americans because we are used to labor laws..on cruise ships which are usually registered in a foreign country, they don't have strict labor laws. You can easily work 16 hours a day for 10 days straight. Very different from typical 40 hours/5 days a week in the U.S. But try going to the cruise websites and see what position are open. It doesn't hurt to try, but it helps if you know someone in the business.
