I live in Bakersfield, CA, which has plenty of Spanish-language stations. So I'm quite familiar w/ Tejano, norteño, cumbias, mariachi, or any Mexican or Mexican-American music. I've also herd of Los Tigres del Norte, Ezequiel Peña, Los Rieleros del Norte, Arkangel R-15, Industria del Amor, Marco Antonio Solis, Los Huracanes del Norte, etc. I also got 2 learn about this music in a Intro to World Music class; there were a few Hispanic students that did presentations on Tejano or ranchera music.

Anybody else familiar w/ these types of music or artists?

  1. I am very familiar with these types of music. Unfortunately, what people don't realize is that it's just Polka with stolen instruments. I HATE this sh*t!!!!!!! Why do you have to play it so loud?

Instruments stolen from the Germans, Polish & Czech.
