Anybody name this mid to late 90's TV drama?

Question

I can't remember exactly when this drama was on TV or how long it ran, but I was discussing it the other day with a friend and neither of us can remember the name...

The story was about a single guy who lived above a coffee shop? diner? I can't remember exactly. He lived alone with his cat who brought him newspapers from the near future (like a few days later). Of course, being a drama, the episodes revolved around him reading these papers and trying to prevent people from dying, getting into accidents, and other disasters. I don't think it was a long-lived drama, but I could be wrong. Anybody know the name? Thanks :)

That show was called "Early Edition." I think you can find old episodes on DVD on amazon.com.
