Where's the best place to get a job? What kind of skills are in demand?

I'm from eastern Canada and thinking about moving there.

Re: the best place to get a job, it really depends on what skills you have to offer.  I'm sure you could find a job in a retail establishment or waitressing at the least, though it may not be the most thrilling opportunity!  I'd encourage you to check out www.monster.ca or similar sites that will list job postings available in the Vancouver area before you head across the country.  

The winters and summers are certainly a lot more mild and I bet you would love the culture.  There's lots to do and experience.
