  1. In your aquarium

    guppies

    platties

    mollies

some sharks have baby fish. They're called pups

  2. The most famous live birth fish are sharks.  Some species of sharks do lay eggs, but many, if not most, have live births.  Great whites, hammerheads, lemon sharks and sand tigers for example all have live births.  In some species, the stronger babies eat the weaker babies and eggs while still inside the mother.    It gives them strong, healthy babies, but a low birth rate.  We are killing them faster than they reproduce.

  3. Sharks, and other fish, give birth in three different ways

    *oviparous ("egg birth")

    *ovoviviparous ("egg live birth")

    *viviparous ("live birth")
