Anybody recommend a website for cheap taxis to LONDON GATWICK airport?

From where? Why not get the train from Victoria, it's a brilliant service, fast & frequent, and takes you right next to the terminal.

try taking tube to victoria station, buy your gatwick express ticket from the victoria station @ only 14.95 pounds (remember to buy your tickets before boarding the train or you wil end up paying more than double the original price) and it takes only 30mins to reach Gatwick airport from victoria station. smooth good trip.

I would fly there - loads of flights from John Lennon airport. Or are you travelling there from somewhere insignificant?

Well, it's kind of far but not impossible.  There's a website called workbidder where you post what you need and people bid on it for you.  You may get a taxi give you a reply or even joe bloggs.  The site is at: http://www.workbidder.co.uk

Public transport is fantastic in London - particularly to the airports!! Try googling Gatwick Express - coach! Fast and cheap.

There is no such thing as cheap taxis, take public transport if the flight is at a reasonable hour.
