  1. My neighbour isn't scared of lightening - she's a natural brunette but I notice she's blonde today.

  2. I love both and I go outside when it's going on.  I try to get pictures of lightning too.  Only when things get a little loud and energetic do I go inside, but I love to see the lightning, hear the thunder and feel the rain and wind push against me.

  3. Yeah, it was like that last night here (Bristol),

The thunder was really loud and scary....

So yes. I am scared of thunder and lightning. Though that could be down to Schitzophrenic Paranoia amongst other things.

Also, my mum's workplace got all it's electricity cut of because of the lightning which was scary too.

  4. i am afraid of both (a little)..lol

  5. No i am not scared at all

  6. I am sorry they scare you. I love them. The wilder they are the better I like them.  The raw power is amazing.

  7. I hate it as do my dogs:(

  8. I have been terrified of them both since I was 10 years old and the lightening struck our house at least twice a year....Once it knocked my grandpa on his behind! Didn't hurt him bad though thank goodness!

WooHoo! I get 2 points and you get a STAR!

You have just been attacked by the STARBUG!

and it can be sooo embarrassing at my age lol but i cant help it I'm so scared lol I'm 16 :S

  11. No. In Africa, we experience it all the time.

    PS: its spelt 'lightning', love.

  12. Awww, bless you!

Luckily, I'm not scared of the thunder and lightning we have after a few days of sunshine.

I actually look forward to them, see, I have a massive phobia of flies, wasps, bees, those things with funny shaped legs, those even bigger wasps, queen bees, woodlice, beetles, ants, large spiders, moths that come in when you turn on a light and leave the window open.

So, I do look forward to a bit of rain so all the creepy crawlies get away from me!

  13. I am terrified of thunder and lightening. I think it's a fear that not a lot of people can get over but I know that a lot of people are afraid so you're not alone. :)

  14. No not Scared

  15. I'm in th UK as well and, yeh, I know what you mean - thunder and lightening can be a bit scary. Because its so powerful and loud, it can freak me out a bit and I used to be very scared.

Now though, I just think its exhilarating and exciting. I get very anxious at the electric part - worried for my house etc. but look at it this way - its the lightening that is the bad part, the thunder is just the exciting loud part and can do nothing to hurt you. :)

Storms don't happen often where I am and its mainly sheet lightening which isn't as dangerous, so I see it more as a thrilling phemonema (can't spell that word!) than a terrifying experience.

You may want to watch a DVD or something, or listen to music while its happening, or phone someone who doesn't mind the company. I don't think that what you do is a huge over-reaction at all though, I mean I still prefer storms during the daytime when it seems less dangerous.

Hoep this helps, and that not too many storms head our way in the heat! xx.

  16. yes i hide under the blanket incase it strikes me
