  1. I have a Kimber Custom II I thought it was just that piece that had problems with that.  I have found that a C.O.A.L of exactly 1.200 in. gets it done.  The best projectile I have used has been a 200 gr trunkated cone.

  2. Are you shooting real wadcutters, or semi-wadcutters?

If you are shooting real wadcutters, then my advice would be to change to semi-wadcutters (LSWC).  If that does not work, or if you are already shooting LSWCs, then I suggest you try 200 gr LSWCs.  If that does not work, there is a small change that a competent 1911 gunsmith can make to the mouth of your barrel's chamber.  It will take him about 30-40 minutes and cost you about $50 - $75.  Take about 25 rounds of the ammo you intend to shoot to the 'smith for testing when you bring the gun to the 'smith.

I shoot 200 gr LSWCs in my 1911s for everything.  All of my 1911s function flawlessly.  Three of them required the slight alteration to the chamber mouth.  I do my own work, and I learned most of what I know about 1911s from Jerry Kuhnhausen's book.

  3. A lot of semi autos have trouble feeding wadcutters, try different  ammo.
