Anybody that had a C-Section????

Question

I had to have an emergency c-section while I was in labor with my daughter 6 months ago. It took a while to get sensation back into my abdomen, and now it's almost all back. However, there are 2 semi-large spots around my incision that I can not feel at all! The spots are totally numb, ive tried pinching the areas and pricking them with a needle... and nothing, no feeling. Is this normal? If so how long will this last?

yes. i've had 2 and i never got all of the feeling back.

I had a c-section 10 yrs ago and had the same problems with numbness. I believe that it took about 2-3 yrs before it completely went away.

Feeling may come back tomorrow, maybe never.  It is because they had to cut through nerve endings when they removed the baby.  I have had three c-sections and the first took almost a year to regain most of the feeling, but I never did get all the feeling back.  My youngest child is 8 years old and I am still numb in places. It may also start feeling really weird when touched, mine actually made me nausous for a while but this too is normal.  

It will solely depend on your own unique body but remember that your ob/gyn can answer questions better than anybody.

My daughter is 14.....If i pinch the scar, I feel a lttle feeling but its nothing like when I first had her

You could always call your OB just to make sure...but I remember being numb in spots for quite a while.  It takes time, but I bet the feeling will come back.  Truthfully, I just forgot about mine, then one day I noticed I had no more numb spots.

Yes I had 2 c-sections and I had the same thing. Yes it's normal and it will go away. It took along time for me though, like a few months. Its nothing to worry about though.

My daugher is 10 months old and there are still areas around my scar that I can't feel.  So I think thats pretty normal.  My sisters daughter was 2 years old and she still had some numbness to hers.

I have a 2 year old son that I had an emergency c section with and i still have a few little spots that I have little to no feeling in. I think it's fairly common.
