  1. Go see what is left of Cabrini Green.  I've been wondering about that.  It's always fun to go to the projects

  2. Best Pizza joint in Chicago is Villa Napoli on Lawrence just west of Cumberland

  3. Go to one of the muesems and get a city pass. Its like $55 and you get into 3 different mueseums and the hancock building and you also get discounts on meals at resturants and for shopping. I live in the suburbs and if I'm planning on going downtown for one day its still a good value.

    Look at this link

  4. navy pier, not navy pear, it isn't a fruit

  5. go walking on the "beach." I love the long stretch.

    Sail boat rides are SWEET.

    Go see a show.

    Walk in the park, museam.

HAVE FUN. OUTSIDE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

  6. Former Chicagoan. I like the Cabrini Green answer. It would be a day to remember.

  7. go to Six Flags Great America

  8. PIZANOS PIZZA!

thats oprah winfreys favorite pizza place. seriously. she said it on the ellen show. Thats my fav place too!

You should check out the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Lincoln Park, and Navy Pier

  9. since you love pizza so much, you NEED to go to Giordano's. That's my favorite pizza place there.

Pepe's is really good for mexican food. If you go there you need to get the chili conceso (idk if thats actually how you spell it lol). It's delicious.

Navy Pier is always fun. The Shedd Aquarium. The museum of science and industry is pretty cool too. You should also check out millenium park and the magnificent mile (the one Oprah always talks about) especially if you like to shop. And you MUST go to the top of the Sears Tower. The view is spectacular!

And also, depending on when you're going, you should try and go catch a white sox game at "u.s. cellular field" but most people probably won't get offended if you call it comisky park :)

    hope that helps!!

  10. you have to go to Ed Debevecks, its a 50s dinner and its really cool and good,

    go see an opera

  11. Pizza Due's - 619 N Wabash

California Pizza Kitchen (Water Tower Place)

    Blue Agave - 1050 N. State

    Lalo's Restaurant - 500 N. La Salle

    Hard Rock Cafe

    Cheescake Factory

    Millenium Park

    Hancock Observatory

  12. If you're going to be in Chicago during the last half of July and on a Tuesday you should check out the Chicago Outdoor Film Festival, its free and fun.

Venetian Night is July 26th, its a parade of boats and fireworks, again free and fun!

And there are a ton of neighborhood festivals that go on during the summer- most with music, food, and other various vendors.

Check out www.cityofchicago.org and click on events, then it will let you perform a search of events that will be taking place during your visit.

  13. Millenium Park and see the giant "bean". Well, its not really a bean but its shaped like one, it is a lot cooler when you see it. If you are a popcorn person, the best is Garrets Popcorn. My cousin was named after there lol.

  14. Go to the city's website and check out the events.  THere are ALWAYS things going on downtown such as festivals and outdoor shows.  Most of these are free.  Depending on when you are coming in July, you may be in time for The Tast of Chicago.  HUGE event!!  You can taste all the pizza you want there from probably 15 different pizza places.  Check it out.
