My sister and I are considering starting our own business, something to the effect of "Parties in a Box." It would be geared towards today's busy families who simply don't have time to shop twenty different places to find the things necessary to throw a child's birthday party. We're thinking about selecting certain themes, say for instance a pirate theme, and for x dollars, you're box would include a set number of invitations, plates, cups, etc., game ideas, party favors. We've also considered adding an additional fee for us to mail out your invitations, address thank-you cards, prepare party favor bags in advance, etc. So, our question is this - do you think this is a worthwile idea given that times are becoming tighter economically (our line of thinking is that perhaps the Libby Lu parties, and other expensive location parties will start to dwindle and home parties will be on the rise again...)?
