What is the best audioguide for Rome. Are there places to rent them on the spot? Which of the downloadable online audio guides is the best?

  1. Some sites in Rome do rent their own audio guides. The three that come to mind are the Coliseum, the Vatican and the Borghese museum. I didn't use them, but I think it was roughly 10 euros for each guide. Another alternative is to download a tour from the internet and use it with an Ipod or MP3 player. I used one from ijourneys for Pompeii, and I was pleased with the results. You can download them cheaper from Itunes.com

  2. I don't know if there are places in Rome to rent audio guides and either I don't know which is the best one.

However just in case you didn't find them on Internet here are 2 links with free download of audio guides:

    I wish it will help.
