  1. I hope the bus is on a ferry first.  The motorcoach does not operate well under water.

Assuming you take a ferry from Ireland, along the way you have a WC on the ferry.  If it's a car ferry, you will get off and go topside of the boat to look about. Food and WC are on the ferry (they have a galley there)

  2. "How you go on a boat?"  No, of course you don't go on a boat.  You drive on the ocean floor to Brittany.  No toilet stops, you just pee out the window.

  3. yes i have done it and it is tiring.

I went from Dublin to Paris and this is how the journey panned out.

1.First we boarded the bus at the cental bus station in Dublin City Centre called Busaras.  A short 5-10 minute journey and we were on the ferry at Dublin Port headed for Holyhead in North Wales.

2.We spent the next 3.5 hours on the ferry, lots of bars, restaurants and even a cinema to enjoy on board.

3.We got back on the bus below deck just before we docked and we drove off the Ferry headed for London which took approx 7 hours.  There is a toilet on the bus but the driver stops just north of Birmingham for about 30 minutes at approx 6am for a snack, coffee etc.

4.We arrived in London at approx 9am and then we had a few hours to kill in London until we hopped on another bus at approx 9pm to Paris.  This bus will go to Dover where the bus will then drive on another Ferry or the Eurotunnel freight train (not to be confused with the eurostar high speed train) to Calais.

5.After arriving in Calais its about another 3-3.5 hours drive to Paris.

hope this helps; there may be security checks (most likely) in each of the ports (dublin, holyhead, dover, calais)

  4. Hi yes, did this last year on a trip to eurodisney with a coach company. was collected at 5am, traveled to dublin (took a over an hour, then the bus drove onto the stenaline or perhaps it was a seacat...yes you can get off and walk around teh boat there will be one or two basic shops and a restraunt or two usually and sometimes a cinema but you will possibly only be on it for an hour or 2. then I arrived in england, travelled across it for about 4 hours in the coach until we got to Hull ( i think ) and then travelled overnight on the P&O ferries...and arrived in belguim (zeebruger) the next morning and traveled for an hour or so to disneyland (would approx be the same for paris as its not far away)...it was a long trip and very tiring but for most long coach trips like the one i did the driver stopped somewhere every 2 hours, a shop, toilet place and for everyone to stretch their legs etc

It was an experience but i flew to paris in April and I have to say it was much easier and I would not to the coach trip again but there were some good moments in the traveling too but i recommend air travel.

You will need your passport as they check that at least when you get to paris. If your with a coach tour they will arrange times and places for you to meet all togetehr when getting on an off the coach etc.

    Best of luck, have fun!

  5. yeah we took the boat from Rosslare to Cherbourg and then went by bus to Paris. the journey was a lot faster than I thought it would be and we stopped at a service station for food and toilet half way through. there'll be a toilet on the bus anyway. it's pretty straight forward and you shouldn't have any problems. have a good trip :)

  6. Coach travel is tiring in that you don't sleep well.

They have restroom stops along the way, just ask the driver when those are. The coach will stop in a place with toilets, food and drinks to buy. Be careful not to be late to get back in, the driver might not miss you until Paris.

You get off the coach, through customs, and on the ferry, the coach is parked inside the ferry and you have the time to enjoy a meal, sleep or just stand on the deck and watch the sea until arrival. If you didn't see French customs on the way in you will have to go through custom on the way out, then you get back in the coach and try to sleep - or watch the scenery - all the way to Paris. With at least one restroom stop.

    Have a nice trip.

  7. Going to Paris i persume your going by ferry and not by boat.if you are going by ferry there are plently activites to do on the ferry and there are bars that serve food.the time flys by.

    enjoy your trip.

  8. Never went by bus to Paris.  Sounds very tiring.  Why not just jump on a cheap flight?  Ryanair will get you there for 20 Euro, probably less than you'll spend for lunch on the ferry.
