How did you find it? Were you there on time? How long did you leave to book in? How were the security checks. Please help. Thanks

  1. I took the Eurostar from Paris to London back in 2000.  It was a last minute thing and I walked up to the ticket agent at the Gare du Nord in Paris and booked a round trip leaving the next day.  The ride took around 3 hours.  France was  high speed and awesome.  The Chunnel was a let down because it is pitch black looking out the window and the track is so smooth that you don't feel that you are moving.  The tracks in Britain were not ready for high speeds so we slowed down.  I read that they have or are going to upgrade the tracks in Britain for the higher speeds, but I don't know if it is ready.  You get to see some interesting views of London and Paris from the train.  The security checks were like at the airport except non European Union passports had to wait in a longer line.  I highly suggest you take this trip as you will not regret it.
