Question:

Anybody watching "Victory Lane"? Notice how clear and articulate Jr. is. Does he only do this when he wins?

At other times, I can barely understand him. He only talks to the press when he feels like it. IMO

  1. "He only talks to the press when he feels like it. IMO"

    Gee,

sounds like a lot of drivers?

    lol

  2. Drink that Haterade up and come up with some more stupid questions. I mean who really cares he won didn't he how is it bogus he did the same thing as Jimmie Johnson did earlier this year and you wouldn't have anything to say. I know it is hard to accept but he is better than your favorite driver or you wouldn't have to hate on Junior when he wins

  3. I can't answer because I didn't remember his last win, but he sounded smarter than usual

  4. I refuse to judge any driver on how they conduct themselves during post race interviews, if I did that, I'd need to find myself a new favorite, and that's just not an option.

Congrats to Jr. and to all his fans, I'm honestly and genuinely happy for you, I hope you believe that!!

  5. He is not clear. When he talks he looks  at his feet and everywhere else but the interviewer. He acts like a 6th. grader which is probably about his level anyway.

  6. I will agree, he was very articulate, and not nearly as "dumb" as what some people on here claim he is all the time. I'm very glad somebody else, especially a non-fan like you noticed this.

    Go Jr.!!

  7. so...if you cant bit-ch about the fact that he won...you can always bitc-h about the way he talks???

  8. He is usually pretty articulate. He isn't a dummy.

  9. I don't think it's such a horrible thing that he's not as concise as he could be during post-race interviews. Like Winter Glory said... it's best not to really take heed over anything the drivers say when they climb out of the cars. Jr. is actually very eloquent if you hear him speak when there's not a race for him to be focused on. He hasn't had much to smile about lately (well, running 3rd in points position is great, but you know it's been overshadowed by the now broken winless streak). Cut him a little slack. You don't have to be the best at expressing yourself to millions of people to be an intelligent person.

Also, Winter Glory -- you and Rowdy's World are the two most admirable Busch fans in this whole community and I regard and appreciate everything you two say, usually. Thanks to the both of you for being sensible and representing your driver well. =]

  10. For one it was not a bogus win.  Two anyone involved in a sport should play to win and be very disappointed when they dont even though jr. is a level headed guy that dont blow up about the littlest thing, he respects his fans and doesnt want to do anything to disappoint us.

  11. Funny, I always understand him just fine. Would you be saying the same thing if someone else won? A win is a win. He knows he probably wouldn't have made it in a green flag finish.

  12. Dale Jr has matured, he is with a top team and he won, he is with HMS face it he can be professional when he has to, he did Hms proud...Congrats Dale Jr..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  13. His immaturity shows when he loses. What if Rowdy said "let em write whatever, we won one", Junior Nation would be scathing at such arrogance.

  14. Jr didn't have a speech impediment until he went to HMS.  Jr also used to throw his team under the bus a lot.  I think that he just chooses his words very carefully (and when they do well, there is obviously no need to watch what he says).  Rick is around and involved much more than Teresa was and he is more likely to be upset if Jr is critical of the team.
