Yeah, I won some money on the fifth today...I liked the entry, so I took it to place, it paid 5/2 to win, but because both ends of the entry finished one-two, it actually paid 7/2 to place.  Sweet.

the races at the santa rosa fair are probably the best of the northern calif fair season...and for one major reason, it has a grass track...there is also grass racing at the san mateo county fair but that is held on the bay meadows site, which is a normal meet...the totes hold much of the same value they always have because there are normal dirt surfaces they race on and speed is still a more valued commodity than on synthetic tracks that have a more fair bias...we used to go to santa rosa quite often as they have a nice fair but with more and nicer satellite locations thru the bay there is no need...strange thing about santa rosa...its the only grandstand on the west coast that faces the west (the sun...ugh)...have some good luck at the fair pard...
