  1. Clear speech which you must demonstrate at all times.

You respect all customers regardless and enjoy the challenge of bringing satisfaction to an upset customer.

You also never take anything they say too personally if they are out to upset you as they can do from time to time.

The following sounds boring but they can teach you everything else except this and so these are qualities they will need you to already possess:

    You are always punctual.

You are a good supportive team player with an easy going pleasant personality (yes you can say that about yourself.  If you are not the easy going type then don't do this job!)

You understand the importance of procedures - there will be lots of these and some are important like emergency procedures if someone phones in with a bomb threat.

Furthermore, dress appropriately for the interview - just smart work clothes without powerdressing as such.

I don't know what type of call centre you'll be in but mostly it can be tedious.  The best bits for me was chatting to the customers but then you may have a time limit that doesn't make that easy.  Yes, maybe you should mention that you are not a clock watcher and that you'll give as much attention to the customer that phones at clocking off time or lunch time, as any other time of day
