Ayahuasca is a very strong drug. The Incas has ayahuasca in certain festivities and only the priests tried it as an allucinogenous drug in order to predict the future, etc. However, some tourists find it "adventurous" to try this potent drug. Please don't do it, if people are not prepared it could be very dangerous. And of course it's illegal as the other person said so you will get into trouble with local authorities. Ayahuasca is mainly tried in the highlands, not in the jungle so be careful.
