Anyone Been Told By Irs That Had there Taxes Direct Deposited that There is no Record of filing?

Anyone Else Had that Problem. Called Check On my taxes Since My Stimulus check was supposed to been here a month ago, I called they asked i worked last year Of Course they said they had no record of me filing federal 2007 Called My Tax Man " He Said This Has Happen to A Lot He Refiled" Now It will take At least Another 4-5 Weeks AND MY STIMULUS CHECK NO TELLING HOW LONG... But Tax man said that this is happening to a lot of people anyone else have this problem

  1. If your tax return was efiled, the preparer's 2nd attempt at efiling will bounce.  If it goes through, it means the original return didn't go through.

    If your tax return was mailed, either the IRS does have the first return or it doesn't.  If the IRS has the first return (and it can be hiding in the system), a second return can create a "duplicate return" situation which can take 2-3 months to reconcile.  If the IRS *doesn't* have the first return, it will take another 6-8 weeks to process.


  2. Yes anytime a tax return is e-file does not mean it was accepted by the IRS.  And when rejected your tax man would of received notice.

    Next year when you e-file your tax return and you don't receive your refund within the allot time, then contact IRS or check the IRS website "wheres my refund"

    And your stimulus will be issued after the return is processed. which will be 4-6 weeks from the time IRS receives your return.

  3. nope, I'm sorry. I haven't heard of this. try a different tax man next year? and file earlier.
