  1. We went in October last year and it did rain on a couple of days but like any country nowadays you can't guarentee the weather - but it's bound to be better than here - so that's a plus.

Hotel Condes de Alcudia is just across the road from Alcudia Beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches around - especially if there are any children going with you as it shelves really slowly into the sea.

Your hotel is also only a couple of minutes walk from the Port D'Alcudia where there are some fantastic restaurants, bars etc. There is also a marina you can wander around.

It depends what you like - in the port area there is a good mixture of British Pubs doing "pub grub" and lovely spanish tapas bars and restaurants so you can take your pick.

If you walk in the opposite direction to the port you will pass the magic centre (cant miss it - big Burger King), which has late night bars upstairs which are mainly frequented by Spanish - so a good change from Brit Pubs, and if you walk further and pass the Pizza Hut and Haagan Daaz cafes then turn right you are on a road known as the "greasy mile" or "dollar mile" which is full of Steak houses, Chinese Restaurants, pubs, arcades, the famous pancake man, souvenir shops etc - good if you have kids.  This area is also known as the Belle Vue area as further down this road, over the hump back bridge is the Belle Vue complex which is what is usually shown in brochures/on the internet if you type in Alcudia.

I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time whatever type of holiday you're looking for.  Alcudia does have it all - I'm going back in September (3 weeks and counting) so wish you the best holiday.

    Hope this helps

    Mojo x

  2. dont listen to rebecca, alcudia is a lovely place to be, I used to live there, long time ago, in october still good weather over there, so you'll be ok, if you have bad luck may be rain, but most problably will be fine. we dont have hurricanes and tornadoes over there, I'm from Spain and I have never seen one before, and is a very clean place, in seriusly, you'll love it, enjoy your holidays!

  3. Alcudia is great and the hotel is nice, we went October and were the only people on the beach, it was ok for shorts and tee short but too cold to swim and the spaniards had on jumpers and jackets, weather wise it is hit or miss, it should still be warm then but expect showers, Alcudia is a family resort and not suitable for crowds of teenagers

  4. we went in october last year and experienced hurricanes and tornadoes, rain like youve never seen and there was dog s*** everywhere, sorry

  5. I went there at the same time last year and stayed at a good hotel just outside Alcudia.  Depends what you want as, although it is lovely I was bored and couldn't get a good swim in the sea as it was so shallow and further out was cordoned off for boats. We had the tornado one evening which added a little extra excitement! If you have young children it would be fine, but I wouldn't go back again.

  6. Hi Barbie .. i too have been to alcudia but in the summer months .. was spoilt because i took my girlfriend <now ex> found the place nice .. the beaches were safe for kids .. clean and a plenty .. sea clear and shallow for a long way out .. was hot then .. yes go for it cus u'll enjoy it
