I am an 18 yr old female, just diagnosed correctly with Bipolar Disorder.

I am on 5 mg of Buspirone and 400 mg of Seroquel.

Or rather I am working up to the 400 mg, Im at about 200.

Any hints, guidelines or suggestions, support?

thanks

  1. Hi Chloe... as you are starting medication for BPD you will slowly begin to sense a small change in mania and depression.  However, it's important to remember this will take time before any significant results are felt and it's more apparent after you've titrated to the full therapeutic dosage of 400 mg of Seroquel (sometimes up to a few months after you're on this dose).

Everyone responds to medications differently so be sure to keep track of how you are feeling.  If you are feeling the episodes are not improving or getting worse let the psychiatrist know so they can adjust the dosage or consider another mood stabilizer that will work best for you.
