  1. Here are some of my favourites. A couple are slightly on the expensive side. The quality of restaurants has shot up in the city over the last couple of years. Most are around the Quayside area of town or in affluent suburbs like Jesmond.

    Cafe 21

    Black Door

    Treacle Moon

    Fishermans Lodge (probably over budget)

    Blueroom Restaurant (in Vermont Hotel)

    Fujiyama (Japanese Teppanyaki)

If your heading further north, I've been dying to try a restaurant in Alnwick Garden called Treehouse (yes it is in a giant tree house!).

  2. There are lots of nice restaurents on the Quay side lots of Italian, Chinese, Greek all reasonable price...theres also a nice one in Jesmond called sanatanas :D

  3. Hi

I haven't been, but one of my friends went last weekend. She said it was absolutely fantastic and i am definitely going to go. I think your budget will be fine - she spent around £60 for 2 of them including their drinks and i think they had 3 courses each. I'm sure will have a lovely time!

If you cant get booked there, i would really recommend the restaurant in the Malmaisson Hotel on the Quayside - its gorgeous and there is a lovely intimate bar in there too which does fabulous cocktails to finish off your night with!

    Have fun!!!
