Has anyone here attended Norquest (ideally nursing), and could they suggest any safe and affordable places nearby that are close to transit and the college, etc?

Is this college in a good area?

Thanks!

  1. I'm currently attending actually,

I'm happy with my program as i like what i'm taking, can't answer the employers part as i haven't finished.

The college is so accessible from transit that living just about anywhere in Edmonton makes it easy to get to. Especially anything close to the LRT. Good luck with your decision!

  2. I have not attended Norquest before; I'm attending U of A this fall. But what I can say is that the apartment condo I'll be sharing is very close to where Norquest is! In fact, I can see it in plain sight from where I will be staying, it's 1 street apart. You could walk to Norquest in two minutes, or get there in 30 seconds if you ran and there are no red lights.

I don't know if there are any ads or vacancies in my building as the condos are privately owned, and rent prices depend on the owner, but you can try if you want. The building is called Capital Centre. I believe there are also other apartment condo complexes within the immediate vicinity, you should walk around the area yourself sometime and survey it.

There is a liquor store nearby however, I can't say how good/bad that will be as I only checked the area myself during the day, but there is also a large Grocery Store about 3 minutes away from the college and a few other small stores, so the area is good for amenities and essentials.
