  1. stick to the basic techniques straight from the textbooks and from your trainer, if you have any.

but whatever you do....never run away from the opponent, never hug him more frequently than necessary.....like floyd mayweather does.

    remember, it's boxing......not a fagfest.

  2. Chin down, hands up.

Be a moving target all the time, it's hard to hit what constantly moves.

Work angles, circle and counter punch.

Don't brawl unless he's hurt, or gassed. Pick your shots.

    Good luck

  3. my strategy wiggle your butt while your dancing around make him look at you like your a freak and deck him

  4. forget about it and go to a boxing gym where you will learn how to box and learn discipline.

  5. it's good to be quick.  make fast movements and attacks and then back away and take up the defensive for a bit.  You also want to keep a hand up, not right in front of your face, but in front and off to the side a little to absorb some of the bigger blows.  Try and figure out which hand the other person dominates with and block that side.  Other than that, the temples and the jaw are the easiest way to get a KO

  6. RELAX

make sure you don't wear yourself out in the first minute

  7. if your oponent is  southpaw hit them with your left hand and move 2 the left so when they throw the right hand he will miss because your moving 2 the left and he will get of balence because he is mising and your hitting him then give him a big right ive boxed 20 southpaws done that move every time and ive never losed 2 1

  8. Noone can tell you because strategy depends on your opponent. But if both of you aren't boxers, strategy might not help because the fight will just be a bloody mess.

Stay on your legs, punched and don't get hit. That's all I can tell you. (But you might have known that anyway)

  9. First, make sure you take it seriously enough.  You say it's just for fun, but it's still a fight.  Don't assume you'll be fine.  Like the others before me said, protect yourself.  One important aspect of boxing is your mental approach.  The idea is to give your opponent more than he gives you.  He drills you hard, just because it's for fun doesn't mean you can't drill him harder.  If he uses questionable tactics, you got to give it right back at him.

As far as strategy, I think there should be 2 points a first timer needs to focus on.  #1.  remain calm.  The calmer you stay, more easier it is to fend off blows.  You'll see your opponent's punches coming.  DON'T EVER FLINCH, that gets you hit more than anything.

#2:  manage your wind.  3 minutes may not seem like much until you're in a fight.  Stamina is so important in boxing, during a given round and during a given match.  If you can keep a little wind back for the later part of a round, you'll have a distinct advantage against a gasping opponent.  So pace yourself, a fight is not a sprint, it's a marathon.

  10. Get boxing lessons. Then you will have an extreme advantage over anyone who has not.

Failing that get super fit in your own time. Most novice fights with gloves end up with two guys too tired to throw punches anymore.

    The fittest guys wins.

  11. chin down, gaurd up,and go for the body early...i have personally ended fights quicky by attacking the "solar plexes"this is a pressure point for everybody!
