My birthday is coming up. I'm very excited, so I was thinking of planning a birthday party with all my friends. But I can 't think of a place to have it. Does anyone have any suggestions or does anyone know of a good place for a party? I live in Toronto in North York.

  1. You could all take the subway downtown and eat in any of the restaurants there, whether big chain or independent authentic.

You could even go to the CN Tower to dine in the restaurants up above.

l**k's is also fun because of the creative, retro oldies environment and traditional fast-food.

You can never go wrong with Swiss Chalet, it's very neutral yet still classy and affordable.

How about eating in a restaurant in the St. Lawrence market strip, and then you all head to the St. Lawrence market and shop.  You could even eat and celebrate in the market as well.

Try the Distillery district.  You could eat and see many things and take lots of nice pictures together there.

Or you could celebrate your birthday eating at the many Chinese dim sum restaurants downtown in Chinatown Spadina.  Then afterwards you and your friends can go strolling on Spadina and Kensington Market.

Maybe you could eat in one of the authentic Italian restaurant/bistros in Little Italy as well, then after that you could all walk around the strip and window shop.

Happy birthday to you, God bless.

  2. How about RINX? When I was a bit younger, I always wanted to host a party there. It's like a indoor roller skating place, you can rent it out for your party. It's right on Orfus Road. Here's the website: http://www.thinkrinx.com/

  4. First of all, Happy Birthday!!! ^_^

And now to answer your question:

Sorry, not too familiar with the North York area.  I'm more familiar with the downtown core.

For downtown though, I would recommend:

    1. The Irish Embassy - They're loud and music always going, but it's a fun place.  It's semi-formal

    2. If you're more casual - Richtree over at Yonge and King is a good place to go to. It  caters to everyone with their wide palette of foods.  Also a unique environment

    3. If you're in the mood for Asian foods, I would recommend Springrolls.  They're pretty much everywhere...though you can find one on Atrium on Bay...near the intersection of Dundas and Yonge.

    4. There's of course Casey's Bar and Grill on University and Front.

Now...for North York...I'm not sure...haven't been there for the longest time.  I work Downtown..so. =[  Sorry.  The only restaurant I've gone to in North York is the Bubble Tea place over on Yonge...past Sheppard, near Finch. =]  Oh! And that Japanese or Korean restaurant near the No Frills there.  That was good.

I would recommend coming downtown TO for a B-day though. ^_^ Those places I mentioned are awsome and a blast to have dinner or relax.

    Again, Happy Birthday!!!
