  1. I would suggest a couple things to you:

    1. You are in an Arabic country. It is a very friendly country but please make sure that you follow the customs of the land... that in itself will help a long way.

    2. It is always good to have a male comapanion and call him your 'husaband' as it is not uncommon to have people walk up to you on the street (I as a man have had it happen before).

    3. Keep yourself dressed appropriately. Casablanca and Rabat are more liberal than some of the smaller countries but still keep yourself covered.

    4. I would make sure you have somewhere to stay but make sure they are reversable. There are some great deals to be had with lodging if you haggle with the owner/manager.

    5. Visit the Hassan II mosque. It is one of the most beautful things I have ever seen and the only mosque in Morocco open to non-Muslims.

    6. Most of all have fun on your vacation!

    Hope that helps you out

  2. I'm Moroccan from Casablanca, you have nothing to worry about as far as the city is concerned.

the only thing you should make sure of is the friends you are coming to visit, if you know them well and you trust them i see no problem, if it's not the case well you will need a plan "B" such as hotel bookings, transports etc..that's all.

PS: It's getting hot in here, so get ready for some sun burn :)

  3. Don't rock the casbah
