I mean having a section of your house or basement (seperate entrance and all) strictly for your massage therapy business. With a Massage Therapy Sign in front of house?

  1. That is a great idea

the guy that I go to does this.

He will take people in at different hours of the day.

also you will never have clients all day long this will allow you to have a reg life in between.

saves on the travel time  as well.

it will save you on you house taxes

some people (clinents) will be more relaxed at your house

you will want to make sure that it is quite so that they can relax

make sure about parking either on the street or in your lot

you will also have to see about zoning (depending on what city and country you live in rules change)

  2. Make sure your neighborhood allows home businesses.  Be sure to check with your home owners ins. and tell them you are having a business in the house.  It may not cover it.  My neighbors got dropped and had to find new  home owners insurance.

It is a nice thought - have a separate bathroom/shower.

If you have any animals keep them out as people may be allergic.

Have a waiting area somewhere inside or outside on a porch or something or book clients far enough apart.

Have a safety net system or only allow people you know or who are referred to you to come to your home so you aren't letting strangers come to your house.
