After seeing videos like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEtZlR3zp4c, and him choosing (of all the great people he could have chose) Sarah Palin I am thinking about going for Obama. I liked some of his ideas more anyway it's just I am a die hard republican and never have voted Democrat. No more of that though!

What about anyone else?

  1. Come to the light.

  2. Yep.  The utter nastiness, childishness and condescension of the Republicans at this convention sealed the deal for me.  I thought maybe they'd be a little more humble in light of their exceptional failure, but nope, they just keep on insulting and demeaning anyone who doesn't think like they do.

They dug the last foot of their grave with this one.

  3. I'm disappointed at McCain. Though I wasn't planning on voting for him, I at least thought he'd handle his first choice more responsibly.

If you want a good, non-partisan site for info on Obama, here are a couple of good ones:

    http://www.ontheissues.org/Barack_Obama....

    http://www.politifact.com

Both sites also have info on all the candidates.

  4. My husband has switched over to McCain..just tonight!

We were both born on the west coast...we relate to Palin.

  5. What's wrong with Sarah Palin?  She's done more executive work than Obama.

Oh yeah, someone under me posted this:

That's sort of sounds like something Hilary, the Democrate, did, doesn't it?

  6. No, the appointment of Sarah Palin has made me even more proud of my decision to vote for Obama. I want to keep Nazism and fascism out of the oval office.

  7. everyone knows that McCain would finish bringing the country down!!! I mean bush started the process and we all know McCain is a second Bush so he would finish it.

  8. Sarah was a bad mistake.   I love Alaska, but dame she needs to be slapped up aside the head. People from Alaska don't act like her, Thats for dame sure.

  9. Obama is the answer. Who cares about what happens in palins family that ***** is a phsyco. she said the war is gods will? ok people that think like that should not have any right to advise the commander and chief. u r sick if you think other wise. i spent 2 years of my life there, theres no way its Gods will. Its bush's and mccains will.

  10. I wouldn't vote for Obama, if my life depended on it. I would rather suffer and die, a slow miserable death. Democrat for McCain/Palin 2008.

  11. I'm not reconsidering, I am considering.  If I were a Republican, the thought of John McCain and Sarah Palin would be enough to make me vote Obama.  Come to think of it, the thought of the way the Republican president we have, has run things would be enough to make me go for Obama.  Also Sarah Palin's speech last night was awful and it might be just enough to cause McCain to lose to Obama.  He really picked a horrible VP and I think he could have done much better than her.  I have nothing against her, but she came off as immature and arrogant last night.  She didn't even talk about what she plans to do.  Ask yourself are these the kind of candidates you want in office?  I certainly do not.

  12. I don't read blogs or watch youtube for anything meaningful.  No, with the selection of Sarah Palin, I have decided to vote for Obama.  I voted Democrat for the first time in 2000 followed by 2004.  I was hoping to vote Republican this year..but

  13. I would never vote for Obama.. I reconsidered that after learning of his church preference.. apparently sitting in a racist church for 20 years  qualifies him for the presidency in some peoples eyes.. not in mine!

  14. Obama/Biden! For Prez! Woot Woot

I like Obama. Not the brainwashing McCain and his sidekick Palin

  15. Sarah Palin is a great lady. Simple

You will be hearing a lot of bad things about her, but don't let that nonsense effect your overall decision.

Edit: Liberals hate me, but I just want what is best for our country. I mean hey, doesn't everyone?

I've done my research on BOTH parties, and McCain is by far the most qualified man to run our country.

  16. Just like Bush when he made that impromptu decision to invade Iraq, here's another Bush coming your way. Good luck McWar supporters.

  17. h**l no I do not like corrupt Liberal democrate.  Obama and Bidden are the most Liberal Democrates just look at there voting recort.  Get the real facts before you speak

    Linda

  18. if you are a die hard republican thinking of obama then you don't understand the issues, because he would be against EVERYTHING you believe in.

  19. the url has been pulled.  there was no video to watch here.

I certain you could tell us about the video and that would be great.

<-----------  Thank  You for you "question'?

  20. Conservative Republicans are corrupt liars!

  21. no...the more i learn about obama the more i don't like him and have no respect for him...

  22. Republicans rob our country of billions, They leave office & the dems look like they charge higher taxes but it is because the republicans wasted our money & we have to pay it back. It is insane to vote republican we need to get dems in & never let republicans rob us again. Cindy McCain is on TV now acting like Abraham Lincoln was a Republican but the parties have reversed he would be considered a democrat in 2008. I can not believe how bad these Republicans are. What a boring mess. I am voting for Obama but have never had any doubts.

  23. I can t bring myself to vote for someone who smoked crack cocaine

  24. Sarah Palin believes in making Alaska an independant country...Btw Cindy Mccain smoked crack and so did Bush and many other politicians. The republican party is corrupt with neo-cons.

  25. It has NEVER been a thought in my head to vote for Obama.

Ha typical class-less Lib above me. Resorting to petty name calling.

  26. You are a Republican in name only if you agree with Obama on enough issues to vote for him. Just switch parties and get it over with.

  27. if you are a die hard republican, and stand for the values of smaller government and personal responsibility and freedom, i wouldnt be voting for mccain or obama.  try bob barr. did you watch ron pauls rally for the republic? thats where the true conservatives were, not at the republican national comitee.

  28. No, I used to be a democrat, now I'm voting republican.

  29. You can vote for whoever you want to vote for.  All I ask is that you do what Obama has asked you to do and that is to pay attention to the issues.

You have to listen carefully to what Obama is saying and also examine closely what his plans are.  When you set them side by side they do not jive.

He is financially and economically unable to do what he SAYS he will do if he truly intends to do what he has PLANNED to do.

Do not get lulled into his eloquent rhetoric and big promises.  Look at his track record of voting and personal policies.

You have to ask serious questions such as, "How will Obama lower taxes for 95% of working families if he wants to provide universal health care for every American, create a bigger Federal government, and start dozens of new government programs?"

Another good question to ask is, "How will carrying out tax hikes on the wealthy affect the middle class?"  Do not be fooled.  Whatever happens to the wealthy eventually trickles down to the middle class.  You do not have to be smart to figure that out.  Just look at recent history and exercise an intermediate knowledge of economics.

  30. I commend you for your insight and your courage. If you vote for Obama, you will not be disappointed.

  31. Not at all. All of these republicans here on YA are making more proud to a Democrat. I'm not judgemental and ignorant.
