Question:

Anyone a bit disturbed by McCains choice for VP?

I argued before that the McCains choice for VP will be the most critical in American history becuase of his advanced age (even older than Reagan). He (if elected) will be the oldest chief executive and to no ones surprise if he were to die in office making it that more critical that the VP choice should be based on having a proper chief executive stand in. Yet this choice, I think is purely political to court disaffected Hillary supporters. Is this untested woman ready for the job to be the President of the US???

  1. Not at all.

  2. haha! like i said before if that woman can handle 5 kids and run alaska shes got my vote. tough broad , good for her!

  3. Shrewed move on his part. Could pay off, hard to tell at this point.

  4. To answer your question no she is not experienced enough.  Now I see what Republicans mean when they say Obama is not experienced enough.  Unfortunately she is just a pawn at this point and I hope she realizes that.  Also if Mc Cain died I think America will be in serious trouble.  One more thing... Please realize that she was a Mayor of a town of less than 9,000 people.  There are high school kids that are class president over a student body nearly this size.  She is simply a bad pick.  Just when I thought the election was going to be competitive.  Mc Cain just gave this one away.

  5. I am not, b/c that tciket won't get elected:

    _____

    "Under investigation for firing

But Palin’s seemingly bright future was clouded in late July when the state legislature voted to hire an independent investigator to find out whether she tried to have a state official fire her ex-brother-in-law from his job as a state trooper"

    ____

And her Communication Arts degree is certainly worth of a world stage position.  She may be nice,  but I think she wil be cannon fodder.

  6. Well, unless McCain kicks the bucket on January 1st, Palin has plenty of time to overcome any learning deficiencies before she assumes office... under your death scenario. Plus being a governor already gives her experience in running a government. After all, that's what governors do... It's like a mini-presidency.

  7. nope shes not. but they arent getting my vote so more power to em..

  8. The Hillary voters, many already leaning towards McCain, will love the choice of a woman and will vote for McCain in droves. Obama is toast.

  9. I was a Hillary supporter but McCain's selection doesn't alter my vote. She's still a Republican so I will still vote for Obama.

  10. Nope why would any rational person be anymore disturbed by that than a totally inexperienced Presidential Candidate (Obama) picking a totally unqualified running mate (Biden)?

"Is this untested woman ready for the job to be the President of the US???"

Ummm both Obama and Biden are totally untested as well if we're being honest here.

  11. As much as Obama is.  (Yes, that is how I see it.)  Too much like George H.W.Bush's choice of Dan Quayle.  A shot in dark might hit him in the foot.  Then again, she'd have his handlers, so maybe it doesn't matter.

  12. Yes... I wanted (and still want) Romney... :/ That's great that he chose a woman... but if he was going to why not Kay Bailey or someone like her... :/

  13. He has certainly undercut his argument that Obama is not ready for the office of the Presidency if he believes this Palin girl (that 90% of the country has never heard of) is ready.

Essentially, he just conceded Obama is more than qualified to be President.

  14. I support McCain and hated Hillary Clinton.  But I have been fond of Alaska and the times I lived there.  She doesnt seem like an annoying canditate like Hillary is.  She seems to have a heart, while still being an authorative figure.  Its a smart move on McCain's part.  Makes me support him even more.

  15. Not disturbed at all.  She has more experience and brains than Obama.  She's not just a ploy to get women voters.  She actually has the credentials and the guts to take over if necessary, and she's NOT a Washington insider.  She doesn't have to teach McCain anything, like Biden with Obama.

There goes all of Obama's arguments out the window.  It's not another Bush/Cheney - it's the true bi-partisan Maverick McCain with a fresh young VP who will make much more change in Washington than a baggage-ridden Obama and a good ole boy Biden.
