Question:

Anyone able to think of anyway (outside of death) to find proof of spirits, ghosts, or an afterlife?

The occult has been an interest of mine for many years, but I've found that 99% of the so-called "hauntings" I've seen can be explained away logically. That leaves a 1% margin that can't be, which is primarily because I found the situation beyond my means to reproduce. Could have been just luck, but I doubt it was a true haunting.

What I'm looking for is a way to either prove or disprove the theory of ghosts, spirits, or hauntings. I'm not talking about dying as a way to prove or disprove and I'm also not talking about low-quality "orb pictures". If I wanted pictures of dust, I'd move my washer and dryer and take pictures there.

Can anyone think of one solid way to get evidence either proving or disproving this phenomena?

  1. Go spend the night in a cemetery by yourself, you may find what you are looking for.  Friday the 13th is right around the corner.

  2. I don't know what makes it happen. Seems like either it does or it doesn't . Ask God to show you...then pay attention.

Go to Resolved Questions on here. After reading other people's experiences ..you might decide that's proof enough.

  3. Read up on paranormal activity. Find a paranormal investigation team and ask if you can work with them and find your own proof...something that will prove it to you.

I've been in the field for several years and I've seen several things that I can't debunk or explain logically....things that I want to have a human explanation for but can't. I've seen a full bodied apparition...I've seen "shadow people"....I've got object manipulation captured on video....I've got video of someone walking across a hallway that appears on the thermal camera but not the Infrared camera. My team has several EVP's that interact with us...and would have to be beyond coincidental to be some sort of radio wave or cell phone interference. I've been physically touched by something that wasn't there.

If you're looking for proof, get out there to find it. We're all looking for it. I've found it for myself, but proving it to others is significantly more difficult. There will always be people out there who wont believe you despite your solid evidence....so in a way there is no way to prove it.

But find what you need for your own gratification. That's the best you can do. If you can "convert" a few people along the way, good for you, but you have to be prepared to be shot down more than you'll want to be.

A word of advice, though, don't base ANYTHING on digital photography or "orbs".....if you're going to do photography, use real film so that you can present a negative to a skeptic....if you can hand them a negative, you can prove that you haven't tampered with it. Digital is good if you're just looking for something, but if you're starting to catch things, bust out a film camera.   Orbs.....orbs are a naturally occuring phenomenon that can be recreated by electricians....Why they occur naturally, I'm not sure, but they are not spirits, they are just high concentrations of energy....which would make an environment more conducive to entity manifestation...but the presence of orbs DOES NOT mean you have paranormal activity. Most of the time what people think are orbs are only the light reflecting on particles in the air, anyway.

Over 80% of alleged paranormal activity can be explained logically....sometimes, depending on the group you're with and your different expertise, it can be higher than that. You just want to establish yourself as someone who's not going to go into a place and just call everything a ghost. If you want to be taken seriously and be a credible, scientific investigator, you've got to look at everything objectively....and think of every possible logical explanation you can.

Then, after all that is said and done, you'll be left with only the unexplainable things. And when you have those...seek opinions from others, and test their theories....

And after you've exhausted everything, you'll be left with solid evidence of the paranormal. But no one will consider it "proof"...just because that's not something our society is prepared to accept.

There are some things that should remain a mystery, too...proving something would take away the necessity for faith.

  4. This is a deep and loaded quest.  You are starting from the assumption that there are ghost to prove or disprove.  But you should go back before that and ask yourself what life is about?  What is life?  Why are we here?  Where did we come from?  How does all that reconcile to evolution and such?

Find religion first, then go from there to see whether or not these things are even possible, then whether or not they are real...  That way you can know what you are looking for and how to find them.

Or if you are athiest, then there's nothing out there anywhere ever, so don't worry about it.

It is absolutely scientifically impossible for aliens to get to earth and the earth still exist.  If aliens used warp speeds, they would disintegrate, or would be massively bigger than the earth.  And if they opened a wormhole or something, it would destroy the earth.  There is no possible way.  Ever!!  Research physics to learn that!  So there's no UFO's.

And as far as ghosts, you'll have to learn what you're looking for, first, like I said before.

If you're Christian, there are no aliens anywhere, and there are no ghosts or spirits!! The bible is very, very clear about that.  People just love to decieve themselves.

  5. Many years ago i tried satanic worship.I stoped it when i was attacked by a evil spirit or demon.

  7. You would have had to see the candles fly across the room like I did. Or the doors swing open violently when no one was there. Sometimes there is no good way. Maybe you could try astral projection or out of body experience.

  8. Psychics or faith.

  9. Watch Ghost Hunters on SciFi Channel

  10. Gr,

The only way we are able to prove the account is by recorded evadence and whitnesses  etc. We have to remember that the #1 reason paranormal isn't verifiable to this day is because the majority at large think inside a small box called science. I'm not knocking science for what they have done but rather for what they have not.

Anything that is paranormal or supernatural, science tucks there tail between there leggs and basicaly states that the person in question was either mentally unstable or drug use of some sort yada, yada, yada. What realy is the issue is that when we try to apply science to things that are outside of human knowlage many tend to get scared. It's funny how a number of proclaimed "scientific minded" skeptics had been brought to research some of the claimes of the paranormal. What was documented along the way was there own fear and not being able to explain what was happeneing. Why were these people not accused of the bias of mental dillusion or drug use?

When we can get a base who shows that proof is beyond what simple text book formulas say or some assinine theory from a bunch of white coat idiots who push there own agenda on people then we will be able to exploit what indeed happens. There are to many cases of real paranormal events to say that it is a farce although there are just as many that are explainable.

There is much proof of events out there. Many paranormal agencies do not show the complete recordings of events either. When you deal with a exorcisim, many times the familey will not allow what has been taped or even the story told about what went down for fear of retaliation and harassment from our brillient skeptics. Video footage of unexplainable events that will never be revealed to the public due to the extreme nature of what happened. We can even get a glimps by watching Tv's great points from such shows as ghost hunters. Ever notice that you hear the members talk about issues that happened yet they never show any of it or get into who was involved or to the extreme it was? Protection from a world of skeptics seems to reign higher than to understand where the activity is comming from.

Imagin that your life is plauged by paranormal events but the only reason you wont go search for help is because your fear of what the community will think about you is bigger than what can happen supernaturaly. I am personally not one of those who believe just because there is a book written about it etc.

I have a law enforcement background and I have always been a skeptic to some point myself. I have seen things or have been in situations where there is no explanation and I have seen the bias of logical explanation applied not just to paranormal but other instances as well. Sometimes people think that searching for the unknown will be a "fun" job or that you are to "bas ***" for anything to happen to you or that your being a skeptic means that you can prove that the subject is pure BS............ Many do not comprehend the risk involved and many end up with a life time of events that can ruin an otherwise normal life. Well, I know this is a little bit more in depth than what your question was asking but prehaps if you consider what I am saying it will all make sence in the end.

  11. I have found proof of spirits and I have it in my glass right now

  12. it is really creepy at my house, my dogs were in the room with the whole family and the dresser drawer handles shook in the next room and nobody was in there, the bathroom water gets turned on when we arent even near the bathroom and lights randomly get turned on...listen to ppls stories...its proof enough for me, my daddy told me a story about a ghost he saw when he was little, so i have no reason not to believe

  13. Hey man, if you can do it you'd be the first.  People have been trying to tackle that one for a long time.  I wish you luck.

  14. You can't, a skeptic cannot scientifically dismiss in terms of theoretic physics the possibility of an entity that can pass through walls, is not within the electromagnetic spectrum of 0.5 x 10 -6(visible light) and other things that can be made within a theory. Only by the great lack of evidence. Another thing I hate is even if I try to make a scientific theory on Ghost, it gets called pseudo-science by the materialist. So really it a no holds bar.

  15. yes. because it happens to me.

And I am absolutely not kidding. God as my witness.

How can someone show proof if its what they see in their dreams & then it happens? There is no way to show you-

  16. Don't you think if anyone could have done this they'd already be on the talk show circut showing off their bank account?

  17. I have asked the same questions for many years and the only way you can have proof or feel that something has been proven is to witness it or feel it for yourself.  No amount of anyone else trying to convince you will make you believe entirely that these elements or entities exist.

I am not 100% certain, but from the experiences I have been through, I am more certain than uncertain that they/ghosts/spirits etc exist... kinda like casino blackjack odds 51% 49% in favour of the house... haunted that is!

  18. Before writing and books, man had only his eyes and stories to tell of events that occurred. Truth was very important. Our senses are designed to determine facts for survival. Just because something is not reproduce able in a lab, doesn't mean it can't or didn't happen. The veracity of the reporter is paramount. Good judgment and right thinking are essential to good reporting. Science hates liars. Be honest always.
