pink Schwinn on the Target web site 149.00, anyone know if this type of bike would be a good one? Also i really don't want one with different speeds, i just want to ride for excercise & fun with my daughter & husband.

Get a bike you like with a few gears, you'll need them.  You can always buy a more comfortable seat.

I would look at something else that bike is heavy and the reviews are not very good on it.

try the bus it is safer and some of them might be pink.

What you might want to do is look at the bike in person, it's very hard to judge a bike by the specs especially if you are not familiar with the spec like what it means to have alloy linear pull brakes. That said, target employees won't be able to help you much in answering your question either, so I best recommend you visit a bike shop for suggestions. For a cruiser bike, a good quality bike can be had from a bike shop starting around 200-300. There are definitely better bikes out there, just take a look and test ride some and see for yourself.
