Anyone appeared at the French Consulate in USA (or Houston) for Schengen?

Hi everyone,

I have an appointment with the French Consulate in Houston for a Schengen Business Visa and was wondering if any one had done that before. If yes, I would like to ask two questions... thanks in advance...

1. The french consulate website says.. the consulate will take minimum of 2 weeks to process my schengen business visa application. Is that right. How much time did it take in your case?

2. Do they ask you any questions during your appointment. If yes, what type.?

Thanks again. I am not a US citizen, but on a Visa in USA.

Hello Dear

Its a Very simple and straightforward process..Most of the times if you filled your application completely and brought all the required documents they don't even ask you questions.They go over a list and check to make sure you have all the papers in order.If anything is missing or you left anything blank that's when they ask you any sort of question.if everything is in order the process is done with in 5 minutes.

My experience has been that the visa is usually processed  in less than two weeks on average it has taken about 5 business days but this all depends on the time of year you travel and how busy they are.Keep in mind it does take longer when you come from a country with lots of political issues such as Iraq,Iran,Afghanistan,Sri Lanka..ext ext..in such case extra time is required
