Hi I my husband and I are both mechanics PCSing to Ft. Bragg this winter. I was just wondering how well they take care of their EFMP soldiers and what the medical care is like there; our son is EFMP. Thanks a lot, any information about the post and units there would be helpful!

  1. Uuugh, Ft Bragg, Fayett'nam.  This place is a h*ll hole! The medical side of things here are horrible.  I call to make an appt for myself (I'm the spouse of active duty soldier) and get told A LOT that they are out of appointments for the month.  I can't tell you how many times (no matter what day of the mo it is) that I've been told that.  So when I need an appt, I call daily in hopes that something has opened up.  The past time (just to get a prescription refilled) it took 4 days in a row calling.  They need more medical facilities.  A bigger hospital - or another one.   Robinson Health clinic seems to be the place they dump everyone.  But once you get into the clinic, everyone is nice and helpful.

  2. Their hospital is top notch. I was there for 2 years as a civilian, and as a military retiree. Here's a link to the base:http://www.bragg.army.mil/

While you're there, take the time to explore North Carolina. You might wind up off base for housing but it's not bad. Hope MIlls is a nice place to live.

  3. I'm here and have 2 kids on EFMP. Service is horrible unless you have your kids going to Womack. Other clinics are too full. The base needs another full size hospital to accomodate all the personnel and families here. Receptionists that schedule appointments are really rude. Stay away from Roscoe Robinson!!!
