Is this another form of Left Wing suppression of speech or is it progressive concern for minorities?

  1. It's neither, actually.

On balance, I am much more supportive of the provincial Commissions than the federal Commission, which, I feel, deserves the bad reputation it has. On the other hand, the Commission doesn't act unless there has been a complaint brought to it, so some of its dumb actions can be attributed to complainants.

The provincial Commissions concern themselves more with discrimination cases, whereas the federal body deals comparatively often with expression.
