Anyone been burgled from the top floor of an apartment block?

I feel safe because I think any burglar would go for a lower floor.

Buy a tenant homeowners policy. It's not expensive. Burglary is not the only hazard you face. What about a fire? Fire does not respect the fact that your on the top floor.

What about personal liability on and off the apartment premises. If you injure someone who ends up suing you do you have the resources to defend yourself in court? What happens if you lose the case? Do you have the financial ability to pay the judgment against you?
