We are going on Carnival and I know thier rules and babysitting stuff but I am not sure what to do at the ports. Has anyone gone on excursions? I want to go to the beach but I am worried about him not being in a carseat. How do you get to the beach? Any info would be GREAT on or off the ship.

but please dont tell me not to take the baby. Our parents are deceased and our friends work. Plus we WANT to take him!!!

  1. not a good idea.

  2. OK its your funeral.  Taking a baby on any kind of vacation isn't much of a vacation at all.  You are still not getting a break from the toughest job you've got: taking care of the baby.

  3. We took our 3 kids on a Disney cruise and our youngest was 2. Of course the ship itself is completely geared towards children and the nursery was out of this world. As far as excursions. we didn't have to go in any vehicles so we were not placed in that position of what to do about carseats. I would contact Carnival directly and ask them. You may end up having to take a carseat with you just to be safe. Another option, which I don't know if this is something you would consider, is to leave him in the nursery while you go on an excursion. I don't know anything about Carnival but with Disney, it is definitely an option and my kids actually wanted to stay on the ship in their kids clubs.
