We are thinking of going on the trip out of Miami that goes to Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Belize, and Isla Roatan. If you have been, what did you think?

  1. I sailed on the Valor in March 2005. She was a brand new ship and the largest I had ever sailed on. The cabins are larger on Carnival than most other lines. The service is great. My itinerary was the Eastern Caribbean. But I have been to Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, and Belize on other ships. They are all very different but all amazing. You can go to cruiseaddicts.com or cruisecritics.com to get advice on excursions and other cruise questions from veteran cruisers who love to share. Bon Voyage.

  2. The Valor is a great cruise ship. MOst of these ships are very similar with the typical stuff: casino, piano bars,  large dinning rooms, swimming pools. You should go to the carnival web site and check out the blue-print layout of the ship. I am sure that you will have a great time if you go.

  3. Hello, We went on the valor in 2006. It was wonderful!! We have already booked another cruise for this year in Sep. 2007. This will be our 6th cruise with carvinal. We have nothing bad to say about either one, except one little thing. Our ac went out when we cruised on the glory in 2006. We had to call for a fan, because they could not fix the ac until we were back in port in Orlando, beatuiful port by the way. So we were without ac for the whole 7 days. I think they should have given us a big discount for our next cruise, but all we got was 50.00 per person credited to our sail and sign cards. All of the rooms were full, it was a full ship so we could not have gotten another room. We were a little disappointed and very uncomforable the whole week. Try getting ready for formal night in a cabin and the temp. around 90 degrees in your state room!!! Oh well tis is the only bad thing we can say about the service. We love to cruise and carvinal cruises are the best!

  4. i did a 7day cruise for my honeymoon 4 years ago and it wasn't long enouph! there was so much to do on the carnival ship (i think we were on Imagination or Destiny, i'm not sure). there were night clubs, formal parties, past-guest parties, library, photo studio, vegas-style shows, casino, cyber-cafe, restaraunts, bistros, pizzaria, FREE room service, all the food you could eat, and a million bars! i'm a fan, and i only travel Carnival! 7 days isn't enouph time to cruise!

i also did grand cayman with my best friend in feb07, but it was only 5 days. we had a blast! i have never seen water so blue in my entire life and i'd already been to other carribean islands...it looks like theres food coloring in the water. we did the seven mile beach excursion which was just soaking up sun on a white-sand beach, but it was beautiful and there was fish swimming around us in the water! it was so beautiful i'm taking my family in three months! two cruises in one year! that's how much fun i had!

your going to have a blast!!

    ps

did you speak with a carnival travel assistant or did you book your cruise online? call their 1-800 number and ask if they have any specials...me and my girlfriend did this and got a $150.00 credit to our cabin sail-and-sign balance and a free room upgrade!
