Anyone been scammed by a timeshare company...were u able to do anything about it?????

I was ripped off by silverleaf timeshares 2 years ago. the stupid timeshare cost me $9,000 and now they say I'm stuck with it. Does anyone have any insight as to what I can do?? I was bulls***ted!!!

  1. You can try and ask your consumers' association to mediate and try to get you a partial refund, but a complete refund is impossible. You need to have some brochure you based your purchase on to show that the literature in the brochure was misleading. Just your word won't do. After 2 yrs, it'll be hard to get back anything, so don't raise your hopes too high, if at all. Timeshare is the oldest con-game in town.


  2. I hate to sound jerky but anyone sitting down at a timeshare presentation needs to do their homework first. What companies are legit and so forth. I've never heard of silver-leaf and I do lot of traveling. The person above is correct in that you might be able to get a partial refund but not a full one.
