  1. Nah, sounds cool though

  2. Hello. Im from York and have surfed the East coast for years. and believe me on its day the waves easily equal newquay.Although the water qualty and cleanliness doesnt (which is why everyone should join SURFERS AGAINST SEWAGE!!!!!)  Filey bay when its clean is brilliant for beginners. go towards the hunmanby gap/primrose valley area rather than the brigg which even in good waves is flatter. South bay scarborough and Saltburn further up the coast is consistently good. but Cayton Bay near Scarborough is brilliant. ideal when the tide has turned and is on the push. the "point" when its kicking off is a brilliant left hander which only worls 6ft plus, has ben known to hit 15ft!!!! (the dont tell you that down south!!) the reality for average surfers is the "bunkers" area of the bay is consistent surf. often 2ft plus which is the newquay average in the summer...  when newquay gets big but the waves dont! I regularly, and by regularly I mean once a week, surf Cayton at 2-3 ft... Try ceefax on BBC page 429, also on digital, or bbc.co.uk/weather then follow the coast and sea link

  3. I haven't surfed there myself but as I have heard of most of these places then I would say that they may be just what you are after. Look at this site it should help you decide if it's what you're after -

Hope this helps, looks like it would be great.
