Anyone been to Alvor in the Algarve?

i am considering going to portugal in the summer.im looking where to go in the algarve.Ive heard that Alvor is nice.Has anyone been there?If so what is it like and is it worth a visit?

  1. i was in algarve in summer 2007. was a good laugh, nice weather too. stayed near the strip. the night life was not bad either. if your going with your friend you will have a good time
