  1. i hear its beautiful we are looking at moving there next year if all goes well

  2. just swept through, didn't notice it really.

  3. Yes!  I loved it!

It was a very welcome stop between the long trip from Perth and the journey along the Gibb River road to Darwin.

Nice croc farm, beach, nightlife, ...  I spent 2 days there.  Wouldn't stay more than a week though.

  4. Yes. It is a beautiful place.

VERY very hot though. No I lied, it was only about 34 degrees when I was there but the humidity was killer, the air felt like soup it was so thick.

Great place to go to the beach or kick back in the pool with a cocktail.

The dinosaur footprints are really interesting as is a tour of willie creek pearl farm. We also did Malcolm Douglas' crocodile park and got to hold a baby crocodile, yay!

If you are there at the right time of the year then the staircase to the moon is nice to see and messes with your head a bit (especially after a few drinks and being in the sun all day).

There are markets and festivals at certain times of the year. There is also alot of history to the town, generally you can't miss it.

Aparently charter fishing is really good, i didn't do it though.

So long story short. I have been and I did like it. I would love to go again.

  5. I've been there a couple of times.  Nice beach.  That's about all - very over rated.

  6. Now that would be a dream come true.  A visit to australia is top of my list of must dos.  I am having to settle with Ireland for the minute lol

Anyway to answer your question no I have not been to broome western australia.....YET

  7. been there - didn't like it. Famous China Town is size of Tesco supermarket (small one) but all the clothes are made in China. Beach, they are nicer at Darwin, Exmouth etc.  Best accomodation YHA - book early. Best B&B  is Divers Bell run by Shaun an ex pearldiver -- knowledgable about the area. Restaurant space at a premium, expensive guided trips. The famous 'stairway to the moon' can be seen down 1500kms of coastline, not just Broome. Limited night life, camping site OK but a bit far from town
