Anyone been to Dubai recently?

How was it? I'd really like to go, especially to see some of the outstanding buildings, although I've also heard the city is just one big construction site.

Dubai is city like no other and absolutely worth visiting. There is so much to see and do, despite the on-going construction. What has been completed, is a sight to behold. I have family living in Dubai and therefore visit often. Go on, you won't regret it. By now you must have heard of their latest project, The World Islands? Take a look:

Well, there's really not that much to see in Dubai, mostly outstanding building. So it's like you come to see the building only! Anyway, it's still nice to visit. But i dont recommend to come now cos it will be too hot until end of September.

I live in Dubai, and although it does look like a big construction site right now, there is still lots to do.  Although, would suggest that you wait to visit until later in the year.  The summers are pretty miserable and you can't enjoy most outdoor activities.  It is much livelier in the cooler months.
